A lot of us are seeing the fluffy, white snow outside, but we brought a little bit of that prettiness inside today! This absolutely beautiful 50% Angora/50% Romeldale yarn is the perfect representation of a beautiful, clean fleece that runs so smoothly for us! It is just the perfect snow white color and is making these cold days feel warm and cozy!

PA Fleece Auction for a Good Cause...

Every year at the PA Farm Show, we make sure to check out the fleece auction! These fleeces are absolutely beautiful and are a wonderful representation of the fiber industry! We are always happy to raise our bidder number because the proceeds from this auction go to the PA Farm Show Scholarship Foundation on behalf of the PA Sheep & Wool Growers Association! Both Madi and Ashley benefited from this scholarship foundation when they were in college and wonderful programs like this help keep the PA Farm Show and agriculture alive! These fleeces, along with the fiber from our own sheep and rabbits, are used to make the products you see in our farm store! Thank you to all who participate in the wool auction and help represent agriculture every chance you get

Piper, our ewe, kindly supplied this beautiful fleece from this fall. The Dauphin County youth team exhibited in the youth Fleece to Shawl contest at the PA Farm Show using Pipers wool and received the overall fleece award! We are so excited to have had the chance to supply these kids with a quality fleece again this year! Go Dauphin county!

The sheep to shawl is kicking off in 5 mins!!! Tune in to PCN to watch Madi, Tyler, Ben, and friends as they create a shawl in 2.5 hours straight from the sheep fleece! Wish them luck, along with all of the other teams competing!

Angorapalooza 2024 at the PA Farm Show

Angorapalooza at the 2024 PA State Farm Show!! Always a fun time seeing beautiful bunny creations come to life! Matt and I were Jaq and Gus Gus on team Cinderella! Kids at heart as we were told when we strutted to the apple cider stand with our ears and whiskers as if we were roaming a Disney park! In the end, all teams finished and made length! I'm the happy new owner of the gorgeous scarf made by the team "Down the Rabbit Hole!" What a night for the Bad News Squares! Madi and Ben started teaching all of us newbies how to square dance this fall, and somehow we managed to pull it together and not just look like a box of bouncing ping pong balls last night! Ole'!
