Now, these were fun to make!! These are new yarns ready to become someone's next project available today in our farm store and on our website!
The first is Emerald City... it's a beautiful blend of a PA grown Farm Show reserve champion commercial fleece mixed with a blend of green tone sari silks!
The second is a blend of wool, Angelina, and tussah silk... hence it's name Sparkle!

How adorable are these Valais Blacknose sheep!? Ally is a dear friend who puts so much love and care into raising her beautiful sheep! The Valais are a new project on her and her husband's farm. The cool thing is... she let us play around with one of their fleeces. We spun up Dandelions fleece and pictured is the yarn we made! She also just had two adorable ram lambs! If you'd like to check out any of our yarns, visit our farm store at www.bluemountainfarms.net. If you would like to follow all of the Valais adventures with Ally, make sure to follow her Facebook page HSE Valais Blacknose Sheep She always has something adorable to see!

Lambs hitting the ground...

For about a week, our ewe (Lydia) has been veryyyy uncomfortably pregnant! We did what we could to keep her comfortable with regular barn and night checks. Yesterday, Christin asked about Haylee... our lamb born last week... so we told her to go check on her. When she did, we heard her scream "Omg there's 3 lambs!" She thought we were pranking her, but turned out she was the first to find our newest set of lambs! Twins... right after they had been born! And they are massive! No wonder Lydia was so grumpy this last week having to carry both of these kids around! She had a black ram lamb and the white ewe lamb. Both mama and twins are doing very well! Now to pick names!
