We had the pleasure to host a young, enthusiastic aspiring fiber artist 4H group this week from Butler county! From a farm fresh lunch, Dale snuggles, a yarn dyeing workshop, and a mill tour, it was such an enjoyable day teaching the basics of all things fiber!

It's Bloomsburg Fair Fleece to Shawl day! Hopefully in 2.5 hours we will have a beautiful, finished shawl! Wish us and all of the other teams here today luck! Shout out... there are two all youth teams... how cool is that!!

The Man, The Myth, The Legend

The man, the myth, the legend! We are so extremely blessed to have Papa as our farm watcher! Papa loves to stop by the barn with his coffee, sit in “Papa’s Chair”, and enjoy the view! He is always keeping tabs on the animals and their behaviors. One of his favorite things to do is bring treats to reward the hard working pups. Humphrey, Comet, and Lola absolutely love when Papa visits! Everyone has a special place in our hearts here and Blue Mountain Farms just wouldn’t be the same without this guy

All About Us!

We have some new followers so we would like to take a moment to reintroduce the farm and what we are about! Here at Blue Mountain Farms, we are a family run and operated farm extremely focused on doing our part to preserve, improve, and protect the environment around us. Our team has a close knit bond that was created over our involvement with the 4-H program, our love for animals, and generally our strong passion for agriculture. We take that passion and turn it into products for you to enjoy! We offer fiber processing services as well as handmade products such as many yarns, canned goods made with our own garden produce, wool pellets, lavender oils from our homegrown lavender, and so much more all available in our farm store online and in person! If you ever happen to visit us, you might be greeted by one of our pups, Comet, Lola, or Humphrey, because they absolutely love visitors (especially ones with treats in hand )! Or maybe you will see Angie collecting honey from the bees and maybe you’ll even see Randy give a wave while deeply focused on the garden he puts his pride into over the summer. Matt might even be grooming his Angora bunnies in the rabbitry and Madi could be seen taking videos and pictures to post on our social media! All sights you could see before even entering the fiber mill where Ashley, Christin, Christine, or Kathy might be working with the thundering sounds of the mill equipment, processing what could possibly be the fiber from your farm! These are just one of the many examples of what some of our team might be doing on a particular day because everyone is dedicated to working together on the farm! We hope that you can stop by and enjoy the local farm charm sometime soon!
