The 100th PA Farm Show will soon be under way and the preparations here have begun! Here is a small glimpse of some of the yarns we will have at our booth. Our newest addition to our farm, Little Nugget, is helping to model a pair of fingerless mitts made from our own yarn made from a blend of angora and merino, knit using Susie Rogers' Reading Mitts, a free Ravelry download. Our line of angora yarn knits up beautifully using this pattern. Also to help you with your last minute gifts, we are offering 10% off store-wide through December 31st. New Classes: Soap Making - From Farm to Shower... In this workshop, you'll get to meet and greet the milking does who generously donate their milk for our soap making pleasure. Set your project down and can't get it started again? Or, you just would love to get started? Don't struggle for hours in front of the computer with videos. New from the Mill We now have peg looms. Matt and Tyler have been busy in the workshop making many new items for our shop. So far, we have: Hand carders for medium and fine fibers - $55 - $65 / pair Flickers - $20 / each Peg Looms - 3' -all oak - $200. and 4' - $220. They have two rows of pegs to be used for weaving from DK to Ultra Chunky yarns and fibers. And Coming Soon - Tyler has designed and created our very own yarn ball winder. It's almost time! The 100th PA Farm Show is almost here. Blue Mountain Farms will be participating in a number of events at the show. We will be a vendor located in booth #5188 just 5 booths down from the smaller food court in the Main Hall. We will also be participating in the Fleece to Shawl, Sheep to Shawl, and the all new event - Angorapalooza. The Sheep to Shawl day will be on Wednesday, January 13 beginning with the youth contest at 10:00 and the adults take the floor with the Sheep to Shawl at 3. The Angorapalooza will be held on Friday, January 15 from 6 - 9. Hope to see some of you there! New holiday edition "Top This" hat kits are in our yarn shop...Knitter's Dream!
