Peaceful and quiet... thinking about spring and warm weather!
To honor the warmer weather bringing spring closer and closer, we spun this fun batch of yarn for one of our customers! Hopefully these vibrant colors in this custom order bring you good vibes and help you get as excited about the warmer days as we are!
It's raining outside tonight, but that makes for the perfect weather to trim wicks on our fresh poured soy candles! It smells delicious here and it can be in your home too! Check out our farm store on our website for the newest scents in our candles! One of our favorite things is seeing our yarns or other products used in a creative fashion! This week, we had the opportunity to see some of our flock yarn turned into a beautiful garment! This lovely sweater is made from our sheep, Piper and the colors with this design went together so nicely!! Even though we may have a love hate relationship with groundhogs during our peek garden season, we still love Punxsutawney Phil! We are very excited that he has predicted an early spring! We are looking forward to some greener days and working in our gardens! Comet and Lola are especially excited for watering! Happy Groundhogs Day!

A lot of us are seeing the fluffy, white snow outside, but we brought a little bit of that prettiness inside today! This absolutely beautiful 50% Angora/50% Romeldale yarn is the perfect representation of a beautiful, clean fleece that runs so smoothly for us! It is just the perfect snow white color and is making these cold days feel warm and cozy!

Romeldale Angora Yarn at Blue Mountain Farms
Every year at the PA Farm Show, we make sure to check out the fleece auction! These fleeces are absolutely beautiful and are a wonderful representation of the fiber industry! We are always happy to raise our bidder number because the proceeds from this auction go to the PA Farm Show Scholarship Foundation on behalf of the PA Sheep & Wool Growers Association! Both Madi and Ashley benefited from this scholarship foundation when they were in college and wonderful programs like this help keep the PA Farm Show and agriculture alive! These fleeces, along with the fiber from our own sheep and rabbits, are used to make the products you see in our farm store! Thank you to all who participate in the wool auction and help represent agriculture every chance you get
