The Chestnut Crabapple is a great pollinator crab tree for a variety of your other fruit bearing trees. It has good cold tolerance and a high level of disease resistance. In spring, the tree is covered with white flowers and its green shiny leaves begin to form. The Chestnut Crabapple produces a heavy crop of large olive shaped crabapples. They fruit a deep, rich red color and are very flavorful. The fruit of this tree ripens in August and September and persists well into December.
